In your doctor's opinion, this is a good change. It is difficult to assess this for an outsider without knowing your medical records. According to the latest guidelines of the Polish Society of Hypertension in patients with hypertension and high cardiovascular risk, especially due to concomitant cardiac complications, ACE-I angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (e.g. Indix Combi) should be preferred to sartans (e.g. Polsart Plus). Diuretics are particularly applicable in the elderly, over 80 years of age (e.g. indapamide, which is a component of Indix Combi), in isolated systolic hypertension and after stroke. They are often used in combination therapy of hypertension, including combined two- and three-drug preparations, especially with concomitant diabetes, in patients with impaired renal excretory function or with concomitant symptomatic heart failure.
