Hello is ospamox 500mg/5ml for a child 8 years old is good for bronchitis Is a dosage of 9.5 ml twice a day every 12h good for a child? The baby weighs 22 kg.

The drug Ospamox contains amoxicillin - an antibiotic successfully used to treat various infections, including bronchitis. The dosage of the drug to the child's body weight is correct: in children weighing less than 40kg, up to 90 mg of amoxicillin / kg body weight per day is used in divided doses, i.e. during the day a child weighing 22 kg can consume a maximum of 1980 mg of amoxicillin. In 19 ml (i.e. as much as was prescribed daily by the doctor) suspension there is 1900 mg of amoxicillin.
