Levocetirizine (the active ingredient in Xyzal) and its metabolites are mainly excreted in the urine, but I cannot find information that the product negatively affects the kidneys. According to the documentation of the drug, painful or difficult urination, the inability to completely empty the bladder, were noted with an unknown frequency. If you find that your kidneys are not working properly, a dose adjustment of Xyzal may be recommended.
