How long can hormonal contraception be used? Is it necessary to take breaks?

When taking hormonal contraception (tablets, discs) there is no need to take breaks. If the patient tolerates contraception well, no contraindications have appeared during its use, then there is no need to discontinue it (as long as she is still not planning pregnancy). The only break that can (but also does not have to) be done is a break for withdrawal bleeding (included in the scheme of using pucks / rings). I leave a link to a video that may interest you:
