The decision to discontinue the drug should be made in cooperation with the psychiatrist who orders you the drug and has all the information about your case. Some patients may stop taking antidepressants, but if in your case the therapy has been going on for twenty years, then most likely there are some reasons why it is so long-lasting. Do not stop treatment yourself.
