Can a drug replacement be less effective?
I took primacor 20mg in the evening on the doctor's recommendation. At the next prescription by the doctor / I do not hide for financial reasons I asked the pharmacist for a cheaper replacement. / lady gave me lercan 20mg. After 4 days of taking it, I started to have some forging in the heart area additional uneven heartbeats. Can it be caused by a change in medication. After primacor I didn't have anything like that

The medicinal products Priamcor and Lercan contain the same active substance, and the composition of the excipients that build the tablet core and the shell is also analogous. The amount of active substance released into the bloodstream in the case of generic drugs (substitutes) must not differ by more than 20% compared to the original drug, so as to guarantee efficacy and safety at a very similar level. The symptoms described by you are unlikely to be directly related to the change in the medicinal product. These ailments should be reported to the doctor, who will decide whether it will be necessary to expand the diagnosis.
