Good morning, I have completed 14 days of antibiotic therapy for the bacterium helikobacter. Can I drink alcohol after 6 days after the antibiotics are finished? I am still in the process of taking mesopral 40 1x1. Best regards

Alcohol strongly irritates the walls of the gastrointestinal tract, so it is contraindicated, especially during the period of intensive antibiotic treatment and during the exacerbation of the disease. It is worth waiting 1-2 days from the end of antibiotic treatment, due to the period of elimination of drugs from the body. Moderate amounts of alcohol during the period of remission of the disease ("silencing" of symptoms) are acceptable.
