Can I start using Oroes if I live alone?
Hi I'm struggling with anxiety neurosis and agoraphobia. My psychiatrist prescribed me Oroes. I have never taken this type of medication and I have a question whether I can start using it while living alone? I read a little and of course I read about dizziness and worsening of symptoms during the first two weeks, but are they so strong that it is necessary that there is another person next to it? Thanks in advance for your answers

To @Kinga: I meant a situation when a doctor sees that a patient's condition is so serious that he should not be treated on an outpatient basis, but should be placed under the supervision of medical staff. If you have received a drug for use at home, it means that the doctor does not see such a case in you. Drugs are prescribed to help, not harm - so in fact, it's best to focus on improving your health, instead of worrying about side effects, which do not have to appear.

In general, the decision to implement therapy with a drug such as Oroes is not made in dependence on whether the patient has roommates or caregivers, although such support is undoubtedly helpful and significant. In the case of very severe conditions, requiring the supervision of third parties, the patient receives a referral to the hospital. If you are afraid of side effects and the fact that they may occur when you are alone at home, it may be worth ensuring as wide a contact with your doctor as possible, having a phone with you to possibly call for help or try to provide help from neighbors, relatives or friends living not far from you. The most appropriate way to increase your comfort is your decision. When using medicines such as Oroes, the patient may feel improvement only after a few weeks of treatment. If anything bothers you, your doctor can modify the therapy.
