Medicines used in the treatment of heartburn, covered by reimbursement for Deserving Blood Donors, include, m.in, drugs containing esomeprazole (e.g. Emanera, Mesopral), pantoprazole (e.g. Nolpaza, Controloc), omeprazole (e.g. Helicid, Polprazole), famotidine (e.g. Famogast). Reimbursed medicines can only be obtained with a doctor's prescription, on prescription.
