If I don't see any improvement after 8 weeks of using antidepressants, should I change my treatment?

For several months I have panic attacks strong shortness of breath dizziness tinnitus and general zaklopotanie for 8 weeks I take venlafaxine for 6 weeks I took 37.5 mg now I have a dose increased to 75 mg to this Alprazolam attacks I have almost every day for a week a little better but for several days I have an attack even 3 times a day. My question is whether if for 8 weeks of taking antidepressants there is no improvement, I will have to change the drugs to other?

Usually, the first effects of therapy are noticeable after 2-4 weeks, so if after about 2-4 weeks after increasing the dose of Venlafaxine you do not notice any improvement - you should consult a doctor to change the treatment.
