Is it possible to consume alcohol while using Mesopral?

Good morning, I wanted to ask if when taking mesopral 40mg 1x1 you can occasionally consume alcohol, 2 beers or 2 glasses of wine? Can it hurt? Assuming that on the day on which alcohol will be drunk will not be taken in the morning.

Occasional alcohol consumption during treatment with Mesopral is not completely contraindicated. Alcohol has not been shown to interact directly with the drug. However, alcohol may not be recommended for conditions that are treated with Mesopral, such as stomach ulcer disease or gastritis. It can irritate the gastric mucosa and worsen its condition, thereby annihilating the effects of treatment.
