Good morning, I have a question I am after the removal of two fallopian tubes and one ovary, cyst and fibroid and removal of the foci of inflammation of endometriosis, after all the pains that I went through I am afraid to use an intrauterine insert (I mean the pain when putting on and after and possibly side effects). Will an injection be a good solution for me? Please help me make a decision.

The decision to use a particular hormonal method should be made after consulting a gynecologist. The doctor, based on the examination and anamnesis, will propose an appropriate method of contraception. Any of the contraceptive methods used may cause side effects, but this does not mean that every patient will experience them. The use of Depo-Provera contraceptive injection is characterized by high contraceptive effectiveness for a period of 3 months. Another injection should be given with an interval of 84-89 days. On the other hand, the period of return to full fertility is on average about 10 months: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/zastrzyki-antykoncepcyjne However, the use of the IUD gives the opportunity to return to full fertility at any time. The insertion of an intrauterine device provides effective contraceptive protection for up to several years: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/wkladki-domaciczne Both the IUD and the injection can be used in women suffering from endometriosis.
