Alantan Plus can be used on dry corners of the mouth. Even if a small amount of ointment gets into the mouth, it will not have a harmful effect. The ointment contains panthenol and lanolin, paraffin, petroleum jelly and preservative - these compounds in such small amounts, even if swallowed, will not cause a systemic effect. Therefore, Alantan Plus is safe in this case. Dry corners of the mouth may also indicate deficiencies of B vitamins.
