For @Sara: Do not increase the dose of Acard. This preparation does not cure heart pain. The indication for its use is the inhibition of aggregation (clumping) of platelets. If, on the other hand, you feel pain or stinging in the chest area, you should consult a doctor. If the pain is severe, please go to the SOR (Hospital Emergency Department), you may need an ECG.

Do @ Agnieszka: Acard is usually used 1 time per day. Another dosage may be determined by the doctor if he considers that there are indications for this: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/1479/acard-75-mg-tabletki-powlekane/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/93340/acard-150-mg-tabletki-powlekane/apteki

Is it possible to take Acard 150mg in two divided doses, i.e. 75mg in the morning and 75mg in the evening.

If these are the indications for use, you can take two tablets of Acard 75 mg at a time. The maximum single dose will not be exceeded. I also include a link to the article on anticoagulants: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/przewodnik-po-lekach-przeciwzakrzepowych

Doses are determined only by a doctor. The drug at a dose of 75 mg is known and used for years by many patients. Also available Acard® 150 mg, and even 300 mg, therefore you can individually adjust the dose in each patient to the situation in which the patient is currently located. Although you can buy Acard® yourself, the decision to start the treatment should be made together with the attending physician, and even at his suggestion. The decision to use the preparation once, in a specific situation, e.g. before a long journey by plane, train or car, can be made by the patient himself. When absolutely do not use Acard: The drug in any of the available doses should not be used if the patient has the following factors: -allergy to acetylsalicylic acid, other salicylates or any component of the formula, -allergic reaction in the past, so-called aspirin asthma to other salicylates with acetylsalicylic acid-like effects or to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) - symptoms include rhinitis, bronchospasm, shock; -pregnancy in the third trimester -blood clotting disorders -active stomach and/or duodenal ulcer -severe liver or kidney failure Concomitant intake of methotrexate at an amount of 15 mg per week or more. In addition, contraindications to taking enteric tablets Acard 150 mg are severe heart failure, deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and gout, and 300 mg tablets – severe heart failure, bleeding in the digestive system or from other organs and inflammation. A limitation to taking acetylsalicylic acid is also the age of the patient. Acard 75 mg should not be used in children up to 12 years of age. Enteric tablets 150 mg and 300 mg tablets are contraindicated in children and adolescents before the age of 16 years. In young patients, there may be a side effect of the drug in the form of Reye's syndrome. This rare disease can even lead to damage to the liver and brain.
