Have Yasmin tablets been discontinued? My doctor once again did not have the opportunity to give me a prescription for Yasmin tablets. He offered me a replacement for Yaz, can there be side effects when changing pills?

To @Kamila: I can't find any reason why the doctor might have trouble writing a prescription for this drug. Perhaps in the office program he typed the wrong name of the drug, e.g. "Jasmin" instead of "Yasmin".
The doctor has not been able to issue a prescription for Yasmin for 2 weeks, what could be the reason for this?

Yasmin tablets have not been withdrawn. The drug is available in the vast majority of pharmacies connected to the portal: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/84756/yasmin-tabletki-powlekane/apteki I also mention that even if the drug is missing in pharmacies, the doctor can write a prescription for it. For example, there is no blockade in the office system, where a prescription is issued in the case of medicines that are difficult to access, unavailable or withdrawn from the market. These drugs contain a different content of one of the hormones - ethinyl estradiol. They may also differ in the composition of excipients. Therefore, we are not able to predict the body's reaction to a change in medication. Nevertheless, in most cases such a change is almost imperceptible and the new drug is well tolerated.
