Ketipinor is extensively metabolized by the liver, yet the drug has not been described to damage this organ in a significant way. However, it cannot be ruled out that long-term intake does not lead to minor liver dysfunction. Although Sulpiride is largely excreted by the kidneys, the harmful effects of this drug on the liver are not excluded. According to the manufacturer: "During the administration of sulpiride, the condition of the liver should be monitored by routine laboratory tests." To sum up - the observed side effect of the drug should be reported to the doctor, then the specialist may order check-ups, and if necessary, recommend taking drugs that rebuild the liver parenchyma.
