Can I use Fluanxol for sleep problems?
I have prescribed fluanxol 0.5mg because I have problems with sleep, ie I can not sleep I have to take an hour before bedtime. Does pn work hypnotically because what I read on the leaflet it scared me

Fluanxol is indicated, m.in, in the treatment of psychotic disorders without depressive disorders and temporarily in depressive disorders other than in the course of psychosis. This is not a typical drug for insomnia. Nevertheless, if insomnia is accompanied by psychotic disorders - the drug can then be used. Doses of >25 mg per day have been shown to have a sedative effect, which in turn may relieve insomnia. If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of the therapy, it is worth talking to your doctor.
