Is the dark brown, almost black color of menstruation when using the Mirena IUD normal?
Good morning. The first month after the establishment of the mirena spiral appeared on time but the color of the blood dark brown, almost black, scanty month 2 days . Is such a blood color normal?

The dark brown color of menstrual blood means that older pieces of endometrium and blood are deposited in the genital tract, and the fluid is just making its way out of the body. The IUD can delay the escape of blood to the outside - hence its color. This is a normal condition and there is no cause for concern.
Mirena costs 2.5 years ,today there is a slight discharge brown,is this normal?
