Patients with uncontrolled hypertension, congestive heart failure, stable coronary heart disease, peripheral arterial disease and/or cerebrovascular disease should be treated with meloxicam very carefully. Similar consideration should be given before initiating long-term treatment of patients with risk factors for cardiovascular disease (e.g. hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes, smoking). In your case, I would advise using the drug in the smallest possible dose and as short as possible.
