How long can the effectiveness of birth control pills be reduced if I have taken an antibiotic?

I take Ellin birth control pills. Twice in two days I took the antibiotic Doxycyclinum, was the effect of the pills reduced? If so, for how long?

Protection may be reduced throughout the duration of antibiotic use and for 7 days after taking the last dose of the antibiotic.
