It shouldn't. Maxicortan is intended for use for inflammation after insect bites, in case of atopic dermatitis or urticaria/contact eczema. For acne inflammatory lesions, you can use products such as: zinc ointment, Benzacne, Acnederm or in the case of purulent papules - ichthyol ointment.
