Can constipation be a side effect of Sulpiride?
For 2 weeks I have been taking Sulpiride 50 mg 1 once a day, according to the instructions of the gastrologist at bedtime. After a week from the start of taking, constipation began to bother me, and now the complete lack of pressure and bowel movements. I only force with great effort bobtail stools-2.3 balls. Could this be a side effect of the drug? Lactulose does not help. Please let me know. Yours sincerely.

According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, constipation is not a reported side effect of Supiryd: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/98596/sulpiryd-hasco-tabletki/ulotka/246052 Since you mentioned that the medicine was recommended by a gastrologist, you may be observing an exacerbation of the underlying disease rather than a side effect of the medicine. Especially since the dose used in gastrology is very small.
