The doctor prescribed me a paroxinor with diphergan. In the leaflet of diphergan I read that it should not be taken when a patient has depression of the central nervous system, regardless of its cause. Should I take both medications?

There are some interactions between the drugs mentioned in the question. Due to their nature and severity, however, in general, these interactions are not a contraindication to the simultaneous use of these drugs. Diphergan shows synergism (stronger effects) with antidepressants (Paroxinor). This may result in an increase in the concentration of Paroxinor in the blood and an increase in therapeutic and toxic effects. This combination also increases the risk of side effects in the form of arrhythmias, which can potentially be serious. This applies especially to people who are sensitive to the occurrence of such disorders - that is, suffering from heart disease or the so-called "long QT syndrome", having problems with nerve conduction, or exposed to electrolyte disorders (e.g. after acute diarrhea and vomiting). Therefore, it is worth maintaining the time interval between the use of the above drugs (minimum 2-3 hours) and be aware of what the effects of simultaneous use of these drugs may be, so that if they are observed, the patient will be able to associate the symptoms with the fact of combining specific substances.
