Dicortineff is a prescription drug intended for use in the eye or ear. The dosage of the nasal preparation is an off-label procedure and in this case the doctor should give the exact dosage, which should be strictly adhered to. The frequency of dosing determines the optimal interval between doses. When administered to the eye, it is 2 to 5 times a day, and to the ear: 2-4 times a day. For the reasons given above, the dossier does not contain the dosage when administered into the nose and should be determined by the person writing the prescription.
