Indications for reimbursement of Invokana are: Type 2 diabetes, in patients before insulin inclusion, treated with at least two oral hypoglycemic drugs for at least 6 months, with HbA1c ≥ 8% and very high cardiovascular risk understood as: 1) confirmed cardiovascular disease, or 2) damage to other organs manifested by: proteinuria or left ventricular hypertrophy or retinopathy, or 3) the presence of 3 or more major risk factors among those listed below: -age ≥ 55 years for men, ≥60 years for women, -dyslipidemia, -hypertension, -smoking, -obesity. If you meet the above-mentioned indications, the doctor can prescribe the drug at a discount.
