The maximum recommended daily dose of Roticox is 120 mg - except that such therapy can last a maximum of 8 days and is used only in the acute course of gout. The recommended daily dose is 60 mg once a day. The use of such high doses threatens the occurrence of side effects of the drug, such as: abdominal pain, constipation or diarrhea, flatulence, gastritis, heartburn, nausea and vomiting, esophagitis, ulceration of the oral mucosa, gastric and duodenal ulcer including perforations and gastrointestinal bleeding, palpitations, arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, tachycardia, myocardial infarction, proteinuria, renal failure.
