Good morning Do antibiotics work backwards on contraception? Intercourse was on Tuesday morning, during the day it turned out that I have to take the antibiotic amotaxi, I took it in the evening. I take dionelle (contraception, then it was 5 tablets from a blister) Is there a risk of pregnancy?

The antibiotic does not work retroactively. The tablet had already been absorbed before taking the first dose of the antibiotic, so the intercourse was secured. To @NelaA: The symptoms are so ambiguous that it is difficult to determine what is causing them. If they intensify, you should consult a gynecologist.
Since last night, my ovary has been kneeling or even below - close to the loin bone....is it ovulation or some other drug interaction?
Thank you mgr, yes tablets regularly at 14:00 always.

The fact is that in fertile mucus, normal sperm survive and retain the ability to fertilize for 48-72 hours, and even up to 5 days in the case of particularly viable sperm. Taking tablets changes the consistency of mucus to one that weakens the viability of sperm. Since you took the pills regularly before the antibiotic, there is no way that after taking the antibiotic, ovulation will immediately "turn on". Usually, the protection is still preserved, it can be reduced with the time of antibiotic use, hence the need for additional protection throughout the period of taking the antibiotic and after 7 days from the end of its use.
The only thing is that, for example, the next day the protection will be weakened, ovulation and sperm will be released still poorly in the body ...
I will add that the anti tablet wxielam about 14 and 1 antibiotic about 19-20
