Yasmin and Daylette are not their counterparts, so they should not be used interchangeably without consulting a doctor. Although these drugs contain the same active substances - ethinylestradiol and drospirenone, they differ in the dose of ethinyl estradiol - Yasmin contains 0.03 mg and Daylette 0.02 mg of this hormone. Although there is no risk of weakening the contraceptive effectiveness (regular use of both drugs provides contraceptive protection, switching from one to the other also provides constant protection), due to the fact of the difference in composition, such a replacement should be agreed with the doctor.
