Due to the fact that the composition of Iberogast is based on alcohol extracts, the use of this product should be avoided during treatment with Pylera. According to the manufacturer of Pylera: "There are many reports confirming that metronidazole - one of the active substances of Pylera - enters into a disulfiram-like reaction with alcohol (abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, headache, hot flashes)."
