Should I wait one cycle to try for a baby after stopping Ginoring?

Good morning, I have been using the ginoring disc for several years, the last disc I should take out on April 13 this year I will not apply the next one, I am planning a pregnancy. I was at a consultation with two gynecologists, one of them recommended to wait one cycle with efforts, while the other recommends trying to get pregnant right away. What will be better for the body? He has been taking folic acid for two months.

I am not aware of any detailed guidelines in this direction. Indeed, some recommend the interval so that "the body adjusts", but it is difficult for me to say whether there are any specific arguments to wait one cycle - perhaps they relate to your individual case. In such a situation, the gynecologist should explain why he thinks it is important. However, it is not recommended to stop contraception in the middle of the cycle except for significant side effects. Ginoring is a fully reversible method of preventing pregnancy, and fertility generally returns quickly. Hormonal contraception after the end of the method also has no effect on the well-being of the fetus. If you have had a preconception visit, perhaps made other preparations for pregnancy (vaccinations, a visit to the dentist) and you have been taking folic acid for some time, then you can try to have a child at your discretion after removing the current disc.
