If the drug was taken on an empty stomach, its maximum plasma concentration is usually observed within 2 hours, so a decrease in blood sugar should be expected. Taking the drug with a meal may slightly delay this process. As for the normalization of sugar levels with regular use of the drug - the effect of therapy is achieved already in the first week of taking Xigduo.
