Is there a possibility that herbal-fruit tea (m.in 5% of Licorice root) may affect the effect of contraceptive pills?

Good evening. Is there a possibility that herbal-fruit tea (40g 20saszetek including m.in 5% of Licorice root) may affect the effect of contraceptive pills? (1-2 weeks blister) Is there a good chance of pregnancy... ?:( I drank about 15saszetek in a week. but not more than 4 per day.

Hi, various information goes on the net in connection with licorice m.in. that reduces the effectiveness ... I have been drinking tea for about 3 weeks nettle lasts lemon and 3% dried licorice root. Hence my question whether the protection has been disturbed or not? Because I don't know anymore... whether it lowers or only causes a possible increase in side effects. I read that somewhere on some advice, that drinking tea with licorice 4.3% reduces the effectiveness unless you rarely drink. I unconsciously drank one tea a day and it was within a distance of the pill but I'm worried. In the leaflet from Levomine there is no information about herbs and supplements that they supposedly lower. There is only St. John's wort. That's why manufacturers don't write it? This is very important information. Greetings and please reply back.

No, herbal tea containing only 5% licorice will not adversely affect the effect of contraceptive pills. In general, licorice enhances the effect of tablets, not weakens. As a result, it can cause a number of side effects, such as nausea, abdominal pain or breast hypersensitivity. In addition, it can cause hypertension, and combining hormonal contraception with licorice can also cause hypokalemia, which is a deficiency of potassium in the blood.
