Do Asamax and Salofalk have the same effect and what can be used for inflammation of the small intestine?
Do the drugs Asamax 500 mg and Solofalk 500 mg have the same effect? Can they be used to treat inflammation of the small intestine? Or possibly, with what drugs can be treated for inflammation of the small intestine?

For @Kasia: For Asamax: mesalazine is released in the final section of the small intestine and the initial section of the large intestine. It acts "more" in the large intestine. Salofalk: the terminal section of the small intestine and in the large intestine. Thus, theoretically, in the treatment of inflammation of the small intestine, Salofalk may be more effective. However, since the exact mechanism of action of mesalazine has not been fully understood, it is not excluded that Asamax will not show similar effectiveness in this case.

Asamax and Salofalk contain the same active substance, but differ in pharmacokinetics - the absorption of the active substance takes place in another section of the intestine. Since these are prescription-only drugs, the legitimacy of their use should be decided by a doctor, preferably a gastrologist. Treatment is multidirectional and depends on the severity of the symptoms. A proper diet is important. If the doctor considers it justified, he may decide to introduce steroid or immunosuppressive drugs. Only individualized therapy can bring the expected results. Therefore, the more you should consult a doctor.
