Is it possible to take Shingrix immediately after the end of treatment with the antibiotic VALCICLOVIR ? The internist recommends a time interval of 2 weeks, while I am afraid of the recurrence of shingles. The virologist recommends vaccination immediately before the next rash occurs. I'm asking for an opinion.

To @Nina: Perhaps immunity has not yet been produced or the infection developed between 1-2 doses or just after the second dose. The full effectiveness of the preparation can be assessed no earlier than about a month after the second dose.
10 days after the second dose of Shingrix, polpascca recurrence preceded by severe neuropathic pain. Does this mean that in my case the vaccine is not effective, or will the effect of protection be later? How to live?

As a rule, any vaccine is administered no earlier than 2 weeks after the end of antibiotic therapy or antiviral therapy. Nevertheless, in this particular case, it seems reasonable to administer the vaccine now, without maintaining a 2-week recovery period after an antiviral drug. All the more so because if efflorescence occurs, it will no longer be possible to administer the vaccine. According to the manufacturer: "This vaccine is intended for prophylaxis only and is not intended for the treatment of a clinically established disease" I enclose links to helpful entries: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/szczepienie-przeciwko-polpascowi https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/leki-na-ospe-wietrzna-i-polpasiec
