Hello, I currently have a cold and I take Icelandic syrup, gardinmax, bee putty, thiocodin, rutinoskorbin (about 4 tablets a day), teas with ginger and herbal teas that do not contain St. John's wort (mainly they are based on licorice), do any of these things affect the effect of vines contraceptive pills?

It would be best to give up teas based on licorice or buckthorn. Icelandic syrup, Gardimax, Bee putty, Thiocodin, Rutinoscorbin at a dose of 4 tablets per day do not affect the action of tablets. When it comes to taking high doses of licorice - although it does not weaken the effectiveness of contraceptive pills, it may increase their effect, thus increasing the risk of side effects such as abdominal pain, nausea and increased breast tenderness. Buckthorn bark has a laxative effect - it increases the risk of diarrhea, which, if it occurs within 3-4 hours after taking the contraceptive pill, may weaken its effect. now I also read that in tea is a herb of buckthorn and plantain lanceolate
