Good morning, the doctor prescribed me new contraceptive pills-daylette, so far I have been taking vines pills. Can I switch to daylettes without any interruption after completing the vines tablet blister? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Your entry shows that you are changing one combined contraceptive (Vines) to another two-component drug (Daylette). According to the information about Daylette, its intake can be started the day after the last tablet containing the active substances of the previous oral combined contraceptive, but at the latest on the day following the interruption of the previous combined oral contraceptive pills (or after using the last inactive tablet of previously used contraceptive pills). Since each Vines blister contains 24 yellow film-coated tablets containing the active substance and 4 green placebo-coated tablets, you can switch to Daylette immediately after finishing the yellow tablets or finish the blister normally - take the green tablets as well and then immediately take the first Daylette tablet the next day. In this case, withdrawal bleeding should occur. However, you should not make any "extra" breaks between the Vines blister and Daylette. This would result in the loss of protection against pregnancy.
