Will EllaOne work if it didn't delay my ovulation?
On Monday I had the first fertile day and unfortunately the condom broke, after 16 hours I took the Ellaone tablet, Friday was supposed to be ovulation and it turns out that it happened because I have a white sticky vaginal discharge. The pill was supposed to delay ovulation and did not delay me. Did the pill work?

I got a period of 4 days earlier (on Wednesday) and I was supposed to get on Saturday. My period usually lasts 5 days and this one lasted 4, is this normal?

In the case described, it seems to me that the assessment that ovulation occurred only on the basis of vaginal secretions is not fully reliable. However, if this actually happened, then there was an interval of 4-5 days between intercourse and ovulation. This is quite long and reduces the chance of the presence of live sperm in the genital tract and the risk of fertilization. Ulipristal acetate (the active ingredient in EllaOne) inhibits or delays ovulation. Applied before it is very effective, but not 100%. Out of 100 women who will use this drug, approximately 2 of them will become pregnant. The effectiveness of the method can be assessed after about 14 days after intercourse by performing a pregnancy test. The occurrence of menstruation will also speak in favor of the absence of pregnancy.
