Lugol's liquid is an aqueous solution of iodine and potassium iodide (the addition of potassium iodide makes it possible to dissolve iodine in water). It is intended for external use on the skin, m.in for disinfection of undamaged skin, abrasions of the epidermis and disinfection of small scratches and edges of wounds. The preparation can be purchased at stationary or online pharmacies with home delivery - here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/94664/plyn-lugola-roztwor-wodny-jodu-plyn/apteki In turn, Lugol's liquid glycerin solution is also an aqueous solution of iodine and potassium iodide, but added to glycerin. Also intended for external use - for disinfecting the skin or gargling. At the right dilution, glycerin has a moisturizing effect. There are some doubts about the addition of "Lugol's liquid" in the name of this product, since the pharmacopoeial ("original") composition of Lugol's liquid does not provide for the presence of glycerin and is prepared exclusively on water. An order with home delivery or collection at the pharmacy can be placed here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/68108/plyn-lugola-roztwor-glicerynowy-jodu-plyn/apteki Lugol's liquid, the aqueous solution can be used orally, but only under medical supervision and after determining the appropriate dose according to the individual needs of the patient. Do not take it alone and prophylactically (without need), as it can cause dangerous side effects. In connection with reports of an increase in radiation in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, the State Atomic Energy Agency informs that there is currently no threat to the health and life of the population on the territory of the Polish - the radiation situation in the country is constantly monitored. To @Łukasz: The dosage must be selected individually by a doctor. In addition, at the moment there are no recommendations to use Lugol's liquid. The State Atomic Energy Agency informs that currently there is no threat of contamination on the territory of the Polish - the radiation situation in the country is constantly monitored.

You did not answer the question.... Can you ask for specific info on how and what to use in case of contamination?

User questions and answers that provide feedback about products are not verified for the purchase or use of the product. Companies often order anonymous comments to form positive opinions about their products, or negative ones about competitors. Therefore, be guided by the information in the pharmacists' responses in the first place.
