What should I do if I feel unwell after discontinuing HRT and switching to over-the-counter preparations?

Hello. I am 69 years old. Since the age of 46, I have used HTZ Cligest and Cliovelle. Every two or three days. I felt very good. Once a year I had a cytology done. Alternating mamography with breast ultrasound and uterine ultrasound. Everything was ok. At the last visit, the doctor ordered to discontinue HRT and buy in the pharmacy supplementary tablets duofarm and the like. I've been swallowing it's been 3 months now and I'm feeling bad. I have palpitations. Hot flashes. What should I do?

I did not find a preparation called "Duofarm" - perhaps it is duo-Fem? Your discharge shows that most likely therapy with over-the-counter dietary supplements is simply insufficient and does not control the symptoms associated with the course of menopause. In this case, you should go to a gynecologist or endocrinologist and tell about the observed problem. Perhaps it will be reasonable to return to drug treatment. I am attaching a study that may be helpful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/menopauza-jak-zmniejszyc-dolegliwosci
