Yes, you can vaccinate a 7- and 13-year-old against chickenpox, as well as yourself. Vaccination against chickenpox is also dedicated to older children, adolescents and adults who have not yet had this disease. In children from 9 months of age up to and including 12 years, 2 doses of Varilrix should be used to achieve optimal protection against smallpox virus infection. The second dose of Varilrix should be given at least 6 weeks after the first dose of Varilrix or another vaccine containing Varicella virus. In children from 13 years of age – 2 doses of the vaccine are used. The second dose of Varilrix should be given at least 6 weeks after the first dose of Varilrix or another vaccine containing Varicella virus.
