Should I consult a doctor about the side effects that occur after 3 days of taking Trittico CR, or will it pass?

For 3 days I have been taking trittico cr, 1/3 tablet, today I have to take 2/3 tablet, sleep has improved but in the morning I have nausea, burning in the stomach, slight headaches, are such side effects common in the first week, should I already consult a doctor for this reason or wait because maybe it will pass?

If the patient is not able to cope during the period of adaptation of the body to the drug Trittico CR due to numerous side effects, he can consult a doctor and do not give up therapy. If it is not possible to talk to the attending physician, he should consult his family doctor, e.g. by phone: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/app/blog/jak-telefoniczne-otrzymac-recepte-i-zwolnienie-lekarskie Trazodon - the active substance of Trittico CR - works after at least 2 weeks, often - longer. At the beginning of therapy, some side effects may intensify - it can be said that this is the "normal" stage of therapy in the course of treatment with agents from the group of serotonin reuptake inhibitors. In particular, this applies to thoughts of self-harm or suicide, but the patient may also feel powerless, tired, weak, worsening depression or anxiety, sweating, muscle tension, throbbing, a feeling of tremor or heat in different parts of the body, restlessness, vomiting or anorexia. Also, other side effects may be more pronounced at the beginning of therapy, but they usually pass after 2-3 weeks. This is due to the fact that drugs weaken the perception of anxiety quite quickly, but do not immediately have an antidepressant effect. In selected cases, the doctor may add emergency sedatives at the beginning of treatment for a period of about 2 weeks. They will help to eliminate or weaken the side effects that trazodone causes in the initial period of therapy. Due to the possibility of tolerance, however, it is not recommended to use them for more than 14 days. Usually after this time - in a "critical" situation - you can take such a preparation from time to time.
