Can I replace Doreta, which I have been using for 3 weeks, with Arcoxia?

I have ARCOXIA 60 mg containing Etoricoxib, can I replace Dorete (Doreta 75 mg + 650 mg) that I have been using for 3 weeks? Three weeks ago, I left the hospital after surgery for a full knee replacement. Now I take in the morning 1 tbl Dorety and in the evening 1000 mg paracetamol, which yesterday I replaced with Nurofen 500mg. I will be grateful for your reply.

Arcoxia is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and antirheumatic drug. It is a prescription-only drug, so its inclusion in therapy should be decided by a doctor. According to the WHO analgesic ladder, which describes the scheme of pharmacological treatment of pain, Arcoxia is on the first step, and Doreta on the second stage of the ladder. Thus, as a rule, Doreta has a stronger analgesic effect. Arcoxia and Nurofen should not be combined, due to the fact that the parallel use of COX-2 inhibitors (Etoricoxib) and NSAIDs (ibuprofen) is not recommended due to the possibility of increased gastrointestinal, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular side effects. Additional risk factors that may favor the occurrence of these side effects are: old age, a history of peptic ulcer disease, current cardiovascular risk factors.
