Both venlafaxine, the active substance in Velaxin, and trazodone, the active compound of Trittico CR, belong to a group of medicines that affect the concentration of serotonin in the brain. In very rare cases, patients taking this combination of drugs may develop serotonin syndrome consisting of too much increase in the concentration of serotonin in the brain. Some of its symptoms are fever, sweating, increased heart rate, diarrhea, (uncontrollable) muscle spasms, chills, increased reflexes, anxiety, mood swings, loss of consciousness. Several case reports have been published confirming the possibility of serotonium syndrome in people treated with trazodone and other drugs that affect serotonin levels, and this risk may be greatest when taking the following drugs: isocarboxazide, methylphenidate, venlafaxine, methadone, amitriptyline, lithium, buspirone, haloperidol, sertraline, risperidone and fluoxetine. The use of trazodone in small doses together with SSRIs in standard doses is usually safe - it is not a contraindicated combination - however, you should observe your body and consult a doctor in case of any disturbing symptoms, e.g. by phone: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/blog/jak-telefoniczne-otrzymac-recepte-i-zwolnienie-lekarskie In most cases, it is a matter of individual tolerance of such a combination by the patient and not requires medical intervention.
