I encourage you to read the following answer to a very similar question: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/opinie-i-pytania/13016/axia-jaka-jest-najlepsza-metoda-antykoncepcji The following thread may also be helpful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/opinie-i-pytania/15168/elin-jaka-antykoncepcje-moga-przyjmowac-kobiety-otyle In addition, it should be pointed out that the IUD is a long-term method - it is assumed with contraception in mind for the next few years. You can, of course, take it out earlier if a woman decides to get pregnant or will tolerate the method poorly. However, this requires re-contact with the gynecologist and is not very economical (the IUD is quite expensive compared to tablets). The tablets require more self-discipline from the patient in their use, but they can be easily changed or discontinued if the patient is not satisfied with the profile of action (she will have some unacceptable side effects, for example). In the case of two-component tablets, the patient may also have some effect on the bleeding profile (menstruation can be "shifted"), which is not possible with the IUD. Comparing both methods, it should be noted that both are very effective, but the hormonal insert will take precedence, because its action does not depend on the regularity of the patient, nor on the absorption of hormones in the digestive tract. Currently available on the market hormonal inserts contain only progestin, so they can be optimal if the patient for some reason can not take or does not tolerate estrogen. Both the IUD and the tablets may or may not cause side effects. It is impossible to determine in advance whether and what side effects will occur in a particular case. We have many entries every day from women both satisfied and dissatisfied with the individual methods. Ultimately, the choice of hormonal contraception belongs to the gynecologist, so it is worth discussing your individual case with the doctor who deals with you. Your age is not a contraindication to any of the methods, but it can be some health ailments if you suffer from any ailments.
