When using contraceptives, vaginal mucus is more dense and changes color to more milky, since one of the mechanisms of action of hormonal contraception, in addition to blocking ovulation, like thickening mucus to hinder the migration of sperm towards the egg. The more dense the mucus, the more difficult it is for sperm to move.
