Hello, I am vaccinated with 2 doses. At work, they do rapid tests every week. On Wednesday I had a negative result, and on Friday before departure I came out positive PCR. I will add that I am asymptomatic. I postponed the departure in a month. How can I be sure that the next result will be positive? I will add that all people who have contact with me, even household members are negative.

The PCR test is considered to be the most reliable diagnostic method available when it comes to detecting SARS-CoV-2 infection. It is more sensitive and specific than the antigen test. You will find additional information in the following thread and our study: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/opinie-i-pytania/69074/test-covid-19-czy-testy-z-apteki-na-koronawirusa-sa-wiarygodne https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/testy-na-koronawirusa-sars-cov-2 At the same time, a positive PCR test lasts quite a long time - throughout the entire active phase of infection and later - generally up to 3-4 weeks from the moment of infection. However, there is information that in some patients the PCR test remains positive even up to several weeks after the symptoms have subsided (you can meet with information that up to 3 months, but it seems that these are not common cases). After a month, the PCR test will most likely be negative, unfortunately it is difficult to give such assurance at 100%
