What should I do if the doctor prescribed me Ranlosin, and this drug according to the leaflet can be used in men and not in women?

I am a woman and the urologist prescribed me the drug Ranlosin, which is intended for prostate hypertrophy... I have already bought it and what now? Thank you

Please use the medicine as directed by your doctor. The use of Ranlosin in women is possible. This is the so-called off-label treatment - more here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/leczenie-off-label-poza-wskazaniami As research shows, the use of tamsulosin gives positive effects in the treatment supportive of renal colic (also in women). Therefore, the doctor, based on his experience, could decide to use this drug in you, despite the indications from the leaflet.
