Hello, I also thought it was too high a dose and I made sure several times and a few days in a row with the doctor, but it is correct to take this drug twice a day, the dose of 2.5 or 5mg must be selected according to the situation by the attending physician

Without knowing your state of health, an outsider is not able to review the doctor's decision on the recommended dosage - the attending physician has knowledge on this subject. If you have any doubts, you should consult the doctor who prescribed your medication - we do not have the tools to verify that the doctor was not mistaken. Based only on the Characteristics of Eliquis: "Prevention of a blood clot in the heart in patients with irregular heart rhythm (atrial fibrillation) and at least one additional risk factor: The recommended dose is one tablet of Eliquis 5 mg twice a day." Please remember, however, that the dosage is always selected by the doctor individually for each patient, so in case of doubt, consultation is NECESSARY.
