Is it possible to use Metmin (nasal spray) during the 3rd trimester of pregnancy (35 weeks)? It was prescribed to me by a doctor, but after reading the leaflet I gave up buying.

There are no or limited amount of data from the use of mometasone furoate in pregnant women. As with other intranasal corticosteroid products, Metmin nasal spray should not be used during pregnancy unless the potential benefit to the mother justifies any potential risk to the mother, foetus or newborn. Perhaps due to the topical administration of the drug into the nose, which is associated with a negligible risk of its penetration into the body, the doctor allowed the use of this drug during pregnancy. I am attaching a study that may be helpful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/ciaza-i-dziecko
