Is it possible to take Propranolol with Tranxene?
Hello if you can take propranolol with tranxen. The doctor prescribed me propranolol because of attacks of anxiety neurosis to lower the pressure and it works but I do not feel calm after it at night I have such an accumulation of anxiety that does not give advice please help.

I attend psychotherapy. I got Tranxene from the doctor because I did not sleep at night out of anxiety and propanolol was prescribed to me because I have high blood pressure during panic attacks but it does not help so in calming down. I have a visit to the psychiatrist only in March and until then I have to deal with it somehow And I did not remember whether in previous attacks I combined these two drugs with the doctor's indication

Tranxene is a prescription drug, so the legitimacy and need for its use is determined by the doctor. Do not use this preparation without consulting a doctor. Combined use with Propranolol may intensify the hypotensive effect (lowering pressure), it also promotes a sudden decrease in pressure (hypotonia). Propranolol also enhances the effect of Tranxene. Treatment of difficulties in the area of psychological functioning only with the help of pharmacological agents carries the risk of worsening symptoms under the discontinuation of drugs and shortly after. If you have not undertaken (apart from taking medication) psychotherapy, I encourage you to make an appointment with an appropriate specialist.
